WhenTaken is a free daily history game that will also appeal to fans of geography games. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day, so it's easy to compare results with friends.
How to play WhenTaken
- Look at the photo and work out where and when it was taken.
- Place your pin on the map, then move the slider or type in the year, and press Guess.
- Play five rounds. Each is worth up to 100 points for location and 100 for the year, for a maximum of 1,000.
WhenTaken tips
- Clothes, cars and photo quality date a picture. Signs and landscapes locate it.
- Year points drop faster the further off you are, so a sensible middle guess beats a wild one.
